about us

The Pregnancy Physical Activity Questionnaire (PPAQ) was developed by our research team in 2004 with funding from the National Institutes of Health. It was the first questionnaire ever designed for pregnant women. Since that time, it has become one of the most widely used questionnaires - it has been translated into multiple languages and is used in more than 50 countries.

Recently, new techniques have been developed to check the accuracy of physical activity questionnaires. Your involvement in this study will help us to ensure that the PPAQ is as accurate and up-to-date as possible.

This is important because activity during pregnancy can help protect women from excessive weight gain, gestational diabetes, and preterm birth.
